Rentrée Décalée

Rentrée décalée january 2025

A new chance to enter a Grande Ecole business school without wasting a year!

Whether they're heading for the grandes écoles, university or other establishments, most students start their new academic year in September or October. But there are many reasons - a job, an extended internship or simply indecision - that can lead a student to postpone the start of the school year. This can also be the case for students who wish to change direction after their first term. In this case, the postponed start of the academic year is a real second chance to study without losing your year.

What is a rentrée décalée ?

The rentrée décalée is an opportunity offered by many business schools, including EDC Paris Business School, to enter a program outside the traditional academic calendar. In concrete terms, it enables students to start a course in January or February, without having to wait for the following academic year in September.

This system is mainly aimed at students who wish to reorient themselves after starting the year in another course, or who, for personal or professional reasons, have not been able to start their studies at the usual time. The "rentrée décalée" offers them the precious opportunity to enter a new course without losing a year.

The programs offered during the "rentrée décalée" are often intensified to make up for the months that have passed, while retaining the same content and requirements as the classic "rentrée". Students benefit from reinforced supervision and adapted teaching methods to ensure their success.

Choosing a staggered start to the academic year also means showing determination, a much-appreciated quality that you shouldn't hesitate to put forward when applying to a school!

Programme Grande Ecole, Bachelor's degree: why choose a staggered start?

Opting for a staggered start to a new academic year in programs such as the Bachelor's or Grande École offers many advantages, especially for those looking to redefine their career path without losing a year. At EDC Paris Business School, this option is designed to meet the needs of students looking for flexibility and a rapid solution for resuming their studies or changing direction.

The "rentrée décalée" is particularly interesting for students who have started another course of study but wish to reorient themselves towards a business school, or for those who, after a break, wish to join a stimulating and professionalizing course. It gives you access to excellent programs, such as those offered by EDC Paris Business School, while benefiting from an adapted pace and reinforced pedagogical support.

Opting for a staggered start to the academic year also gives you the opportunity to project yourself quickly into a new academic environment, while benefiting from the same training content as the classic start to the academic year. This demonstrates an ability to adapt and a willingness to take action, major assets in a competitive sector like management.

Programme Grande Ecole

EDC Paris Business School's 5-year Grande Ecole program is designed to train managers and entrepreneurial leaders capable of operating in a global environment. It focuses on key themes such as business development, innovation and entrepreneurship.

The program offers general management training based on an innovative experiential pedagogy. With a strong international focus, including English courses and compulsory internships abroad, it enables students to develop real expertise in the fundamentals of management science.

Students can personalize their curriculum with a wide choice of specializations, specializations, double degrees and excellence courses. A professionalizing dimension is also built in, with opportunities for work-study, internships, in-company assignments and courses focusing on personal development and "soft skills".

Bachelor in Management

The Bachelor in Management at EDC Paris Business School is designed to train front-line managers or project leaders who master the fundamentals of management, digital techniques and entrepreneurial values.

The program, accredited by the French government as a Bachelor's degree, takes place over three years and can be taken entirely in English from the first year. It offers general management training, with specialization in the third year or the possibility of obtaining a degree abroad, preparing students to enter the job market or continue their studies.

As with the Grande École program, internationalization is an integral part of the curriculum. Students can study abroad thanks to partnerships with foreign institutions, within the framework of a double degree, and pursue their studies in the United States, Germany, Ireland or Canada, for example.

Why choose the Grande Ecole program ?

One of the strengths of the Grande Ecole program is its strong international dimension. With courses taught in English, internships abroad and partnerships with prestigious universities, students gain a real opening onto the world. This international experience prepares them to join major companies or launch their own international projects.

The Grande École Program also offers a high degree of flexibility, thanks to a variety of specializations and the possibility of double degrees. This personalized approach enables students to focus on fast-growing sectors such as entrepreneurship, luxury management and technological innovation. This wealth of choice gives them a competitive edge on the job market.

Finally, this program places professional experience at the heart of learning. Work-study programs, internships and in-company assignments are all opportunities for students to put their knowledge into practice while developing concrete skills. This professional approach is reinforced by individualized support, helping each student to define and achieve his or her goals.

Why choose the Bachelor in Management ?

The Bachelor in Management at EDC Paris Business School is much more than a generalist course. Over three years, this program provides students with a solid foundation in management sciences, while cultivating their entrepreneurial spirit and capacity for innovation.

The Bachelor's program is distinguished by its pragmatic approach, in which theoretical learning is systematically enriched by concrete projects and work situations. Right from the first year, students are invited to work on case studies, business challenges and simulations, developing skills that are directly applicable in the professional world.

Another key advantage of this program is the diversity of career opportunities it offers. Whether you want to enter the job market immediately, or continue your studies in specialized Masters or Grande École programs, the Bachelor in Management offers flexibility and recognition that open many doors.

Last but not least, the emphasis placed on personal development and human skills such as leadership, communication and team management, makes this program a comprehensive training program that is well suited to the demands of today's businesses.
