Studying abroad

MY INTERNATIONAL CAREER

An academic exchange is a prerequisite for validation of the EDC Paris Business School diploma.
To this end, EDC Paris Business School has set up a personalized program lasting from 6 to 24 months throughout the curriculum, which students can complete with several international internship periods from the end of the 1st year (between 2 and 6 months).

  • The aim of the International Departure is to create a coherent, clear and compatible pathway with the ECD curriculum, in order to strengthen each student's academic and intercultural skills and guarantee their employability.

THE PRINCIPLES OF ACADEMIC EXCHANGES

  • Students applying for a simple academic exchange are selected on the basis of their results during their studies at EDC Paris Business School, as well as their language skills and general behavior.
  • Students applying for a double degree are selected on the basis of an application (same criteria as above) and an interview with an academic representative from both institutions.
  • The number of students per destination is deliberately kept to a minimum, to help them better integrate into the partner university.
  • Students pay EDC Paris Business School tuition fees even when they are on exchange, and have nothing to pay to the host institution unless there is a fee-paying agreement.
  • A team dedicated to outgoing exchanges is in charge of organizing and preparing applications, as well as monitoring students throughout their mobility. Constantly in touch with its counterparts at partner universities, it ensures that mobility programs run smoothly, and manages international mobility grants.

ERASMUS AND MOBILITY GRANTS

EDC Paris Business School has signed the extended Erasmus+ Charter granted by the European Commission in 2020 and has drawn up a European strategy statement.

Its participation in the European mobility program enables students to benefit from a grant when they complete an exchange semester at a European university that is also a signatory of the Charter, or an internship in a European company.

Since 2021, EDC Paris Business School has joined the Team consortium, which enables apprentices to carry out a two-month mobility in a company in Europe and benefit from an Erasmus+ grant.

  • Erasmus+ grants are awarded to all students on exchange at a European institution that has signed the Erasmus Charter. Amounts vary according to geographical area and are based on the local cost of living. The amounts per geographical area have been set by the European Commission. Students doing an internship in an EU member state or a third country associated with the program  can also apply for a mobility grant. However, not all students are eligible, and priority is generally given to unpaid trainees.

  • The EDC Paris Business School Excellence Scholarship is awarded to the most deserving students, whether or not they go abroad. It is awarded on the basis of excellent academic results, the quality of the student's professional career (internships and assignments) and overall commitment. As far as international activities are concerned, students who are involved in a double degree program or who choose to participate in high-level summer programs (Berkeley Summer Programmes or London School of Economics) can apply and benefit from this exceptional bonus.

DOUBLE DEGREES

It's an ambitious and demanding choice, but one that enhances the value of the EDC Paris Business School diploma and serves as a springboard to an international career.
Students in their 3rd year of the Bachelor's program and in their 3rd and 5th year of the Grande École program have the opportunity to apply for one of the double degrees listed below.

The programs and their content have been selected and approved by the directors of the programs or majors concerned at both establishments, who also jointly manage and validate the thesis required for validation of the double degree. Candidates are selected on the basis of their academic results, language skills and general behavior by the academic representatives of the two establishments concerned. Validation of the diploma is subject to validation of the semester(s) completed at the host university.

OUR ASSOCIATED CAMPUS IN BARCELONA

Students in the 2nd year Bachelor program and 3rd year Grande École program can study on our associated campus in Barcelona during the second term.
Located in the heart of the Catalan capital, the campus shared by EDC Paris Business School and EAE Barcelona enables students to follow a program designed by our school's Academic Management while benefiting from a stimulating and enriching international environment. It is also a way for EDC Paris Business School and EAE Business School to consolidate long-standing partnerships and develop innovative academic projects, notably COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning), a pioneering interactive learning method, and increased cooperation at faculty level, part of which teaches in Barcelona.

KEY INFO

  •  2nd semester of the 2nd year of the Bachelor program or 2nd semester of the 3rd year of the Grande École program

SUSTAINABLE & ECO-RESPONSIBLE MOBILITY

While international exposure and mobility remain an essential part of our students' training, we are aware of the urgency of environmental issues and have put in place a number of measures to promote sustainable, eco-responsible mobility:

  • Lecture during departure preparations by the professor in charge of CSR and sustainable development to raise students' awareness of climate challenges and encourage them to adopt a responsible attitude

  • Internationalization at home thanks to online academic collaboration projects

  • Promotion of European destinations and stricter selection of students for destinations outside Europe. Students are asked to give detailed reasons for their selection, in order to assess its relevance to their choice of major and career plan.
