Questions to ask yourself before considering Delayed start of the school year
While there are many reasons for changing direction, it's important to ask yourself about your real motivations. First of all, identify the objective reasons why you want to change your course. Have your plans changed? Is the content of the course too far removed from your initial expectations? Is the workload too intense ?
You should be aware, for example, that a staggered start course will naturally be more demanding than a traditional program. You'll have to "catch up" by working harder. You'll need to accumulate the knowledge you didn't gain in the first semester. The "rentrée décalée" is an excellent solution for switching to a course that suits you better, but requires sufficient motivation to embark on a demanding adventure. So, before committing yourself, think carefully about your reasons for taking this new course. Is it more personalized? Do you feel the prospects are more promising? Would you like to be able to work on a sandwich course? These considerations will also help you to better prepare your application.
Prepare your file
If you are interested in a Bachelor Program ou un Grande École Program at EDC Paris Business School, you'll need to comply with the registration process. Expect a series of tests followed by interviews. Depending on your course of study, you may even be asked to demonstrate skills similar to those required by the Sésame competitive entrance examination.
Prepare your reorientation as you would for a traditional admission, paying particular attention to the expectations of the initial training. You'll need to work hard beforehand to reach the admission level, and ideally to exceed it, as places are still limited.
At EDC Paris Business School, many students take advantage of the second chance offered by the "rentrée décalée" program to fly off to the career of their dreams. Think of it as an exceptional solution to avoid losing a year of study, but one that requires a few sacrifices in return.
