What qualifications does a Project Manager need?
Most Project Managers have a degree in business, IT or an industry-related field. However, it is advisable to follow a specialized business training course to learn to master the whole concept of project management.
Some large companies are looking for candidates with advanced degrees, such as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Management (M.Sc.).
It's also a good idea to have a thorough knowledge of the company's sector, and to complete an internship during your studies that meets your future career objectives.

The average salary for a Project Manager in France is €45,000 (source: Glassdoor). However, it can be much higher with experience, particularly in large companies. For example, the average salary for a Project Manager at BNP Paribas is €55,000, €60,000 at Total Energies and €68,000 at EDF.
Project managers from business and engineering schools also earn the highest salaries (compared to students from IT schools or IUTs).
